Cradle Of Filth And Ed Sheeran Collaboration In Single Charity

JAKARTA - British extreme metal band frontman Cradle Of Filth, Dani Filth revealed plans for the band's collaboration with pop star Ed Sheeran.

"Ed has finished all his parts. It's just the bass and vocals that I have to execute when I return to England after Easter. Exactly as you can imagine, if you can imagine the collaboration of Ed Sheeran with Cradle Of Filth," Dani told Metal Hammer magazine.

"He plays acoustic guitar, but it's tough; there's a beat that explodes there. The plan to do this collaboration is as a charity single. We hope it will come out in the summer."

Dani initially broke the news about the possibility of working with Ed in an interview with Kerrang! Radio "Breakfast Show" at the Bloodstock Open Air 2021 festival in Great Britain.

"I've actually emailed each other with [Ed]... He really fits me. I was invited to his place. Well, he said he could come to my place, but I showed him that I don't have my own bar or village, and it would be better if I went to his place," said Dani at the time.

"He said he would do anything," he added. "Technically. He said he's a big Cradle fan. He seems like a really good guy."

Meanwhile, Ed, in July 2021, revealed the possibility of exploring more extreme musical paths while speaking with The Sun.

"I really liked death metal as a child. I listened to Cradle Of Filth and Slipknot and all that kind of music. I didn't say I would ever be able to enter that world. I learned all that guitar riffs were when they were kids. It was something I never thought of to do but something I would never fight to make."

Ed had previously tried various musi genres, including rock, dance, rap, and reggae.
