Michael Anthony, who is currently the bassist for Sammy totaling's The Circle, revealed the birth of a new project in SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" recently.
When asked if he had plans to form a new project or band after Sammy decided to retire from a live appearance with The Circle, Michael mentioned the two names to be involved, namely guitarist Bon Jovi Phil X and current tour drummer Aerosmith John Douglas.
"Well, I wouldn't mention anything about it, but there is a bit of a side project. That I've spoken to some people, and maybe done a few things with me. I don't want to rush and mention too much, but maybe involve Phil X and John Douglas, who you know as [toured drummers] for Aerosmith now," explained Michael.
"I've known JD for years, since he worked with Van Halen... an amazing guy. And we have a singer. I don't want to mention any names, but a very, very cool singer. And we're recording just for fun now, some songs. That's all I can say."
Meanwhile on March 24, Jeff, who once joined Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Sons Of Apollo, via his Instagram shared a screenshot of Blabbermouth news about the project.
Jeff implies that he is the singer of the new band formed by former Van Halen bassist.
"Come on......umen...no comment =)" wrote Jeff in the caption of the photo.
When someone asked Jeff, "Who is the singer?", he replied: "Read what my friend implies".
