Mick Mars Was Not Happy During The Stadium Tour With Motley Crue

JAKARTA - In an interview with Andrew Daly of Ultimate Guitar, legendary drummer Total Appice expressed his opinion on the departure of his best friend, guitarist Mick Mars of Motley Crue.

Mick stepped down from the Motley Crue stage tour due to health problems. His position was replaced by John 5, former guitarist Marilyn Manson.

"Okay, I'll tell you what you are. I talked to Mick, and he told me, 'When I was at 'The Stadium Tour' (June-September 2022), I wasn't happy.' Basically, all my guitar fillings have been recorded. Everything has been planned and finally a lot of nonsense," he said.

"And Mick is a pretty good player, and for now letting him go and play as he wants, it's never going to work for him. The truth is that things are getting weird for Motley Crue now. Mick told me that the people who came to see him could say that it was all recorded before and everything was on record.

"When you play in a stadium like that, you can hear a lot of things coming to the monitor or what's not. And with Vince Neil's vocals, bass, drums, guitar, and everything else, it's clear. that it's all recorded. And Mick was annoyed and said, 'I can play everything. I want to play it. I don't want to believe that I played it.' So, I think that's one of the reasons why he said, 'I'm done.'

"Indeed, the illness he was suffering from did not help, and it didn't make life easy on tours, but Mick could play all the games, and he was allowed to do that."

In connection with whether Mick got along with bandmates M\"otley Cr\"ue at The Stadium Tour, Appice stated: "No, he doesn't. He has his own means of traveling and traveling alone by bus while others fly everywhere.

"He said, 'Oh my goodness, these people are wasting their money, flying to every show.' They are all busy still trying to be rock stars, and Mick just wants to play music. Mick is not interested in wasting time and flying money everywhere, so he travels by bus. Their lifestyle is different from it, so there is a lot of disagreement.

"I thought he was done with Motley Crue. They were supposed to go on their last tour, and then they came back. Then they did the Tur Stadium, and it seemed to be the last one. So when they came back, he said, 'You guys can do it. I'm not going with you guys for this.'
