Metallica Acquires Shares Of America's Largest Black Plate Company Furnace

JAKARTA - Dendengkot heavy metal from Los Angeles, Metallica, officially acquired the majority of shares of one of the largest record-making companies in the United States, the Furnace Record Pressing.

The acquisition process is a kind of official link between Metallica and Furnace Record Pressing. Since 2014, the company has produced up to 5 million vinyl bands led by James Hetfield (vocals/guitar), Kirk Hammett (guitar), Robert Trujillo (bass), and Lars Ulrich (drums).

Furnace Record Pressing has produced a number of Metallica music projects in the form of exclusive disks including the album Kill Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets,...And Justice for All, and S&M2.

"We are very pleased to be working with Furnace - especially with Eric, Ali, and Mark, towards the next stage," drummer Lars Ulrich said as quoted by Antara from Variety, Wednesday.

The figures referred to by Lars are the founder and managing director of Furnace Record Pressing Eric Astor, deputy director of Ali Miller, and director president Mark Reiter. The three figures have equity rights and are members of the board of directors of the Furnace Record Pressing company.

Furthermore, drummer Lars Ulrich also praised the passion and passion of the people behind the Furnace Record Pressing which he considered to have similarities with Metallica's soul.

In line with Lars, vocalist James Hetfield added that Furnace Record Pressing plays an important role in Metallica's life.

"Furnace is very important for Metallica and especially for fans of this band. The extent of the relationship between Metallica and Furnace provides certainty to vinyl fans everywhere including our fifth personnel, that they will still be able to get access to high-quality recordings in the future," he said.

Metallica's acquisition of Furnace Record Pressing is considered intelligent considering that not many high-quality vinyl producing companies in the world can be stable in terms of vinyl production. Because it is not uncommon for the vinyl production process to be completed for months after the initial release of the musician's album.

Moreover, the association of American record companies RIAA noted that sales of movable disks have grown over the past 16 years and by 2022 it has reached 1.2 million US dollars. Recording of the disk also contributed 71 percent of total sales of physical album formats and for the first time since 1987 beat sales of the formal compact disc (CD) album in units.
