JAKARTA - Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor mentioned three bands that he said were doing great things in the realm of loud music today.

Speaking to NME about his solo album which he calls "darker, tougher" to come CMF2, Corey reveals the weight of his new album.

He said listeners could find music that affected him from different decades.

There are also grunge 90s, punk 70s, and loud music that I helped create in the late 90s and early 2000s," said Corey.

"It's a little bit of everything, but it's important for us to make it feel fresh," he continued.

"Things that really inspire me come from the things I listen to when I grow up; hip-hop streets, punk, metal, and all the nonsense that feels like it comes from somewhere I can connect and recognize."

However, Corey noted several new bands that also caught his attention where he called "they lean on passion".

"Turnstile is amazing," he said.'sleep Token is really starting to do something for me, and Bad Omens is great. There is a new generation of bands that are starting to emerge that carry the flag of rock/metal music.'
