Ponch Satrio Becomes Guest Musician On Abel Sequera Album With Roland Graphow, Pete Lesperance, And Derek Sherinian

JAKARTA - One of Indonesia's proud guitarists, Ponch Satrio, took part in the solo album of Brazilian musician Abel Sequera (the band drummer Mike Vescera, Death Keepers), titled Soundscapes (Scarified Records).

"(Initially) I was contacted by producer and the amazing guitar player, Carles Salse a few years ago. He asked me for a solo guest on this Abel Sequera album," Ponch told about his initial involvement in the album Soundscapes.

"At first I didn't know who played (on this album). It used to be the first contact during the MySpace era. The recording of this album took a long time because Abel (went) a tour, there were about five more years," continued Ron's best friend. "Bumblefoot" This is.

It is known, this progressive metal genre album features 50 collaborators from various genres, from jazz, fusion, rock to progressive metal itself.

Apart from Ponch, the album contains eight tracks featuring a row of musicians categorized as five stars, including Derek Sherinian (ex Dream Theater), Mike Lepond (Symphony X), Diego Tejeida (ex Haken), Jeff Kollman (Alan Parsons), and Mats Haugen (Circusmen).

Then there are Roland Graphow (ex Helloween), Pete Lesperance (Harem Scarem), Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai), Randy George (Neal Morse), Simone Mularoni (DGM), Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery), and Andreas Blomqvist (Seventh Wonder).

The album is mixed and mastered by Sebastian Sendon (Bleed from Within, Lampr3a, The Broken Horizon). While the cover artwork is designed by graphic artist Fernando total from Visual Decay (Iris Divine, Synarchy, Denial Machine).
