JAKARTA - Hard rock heroes from Boston, Extreme, fronted by Gary Cherone (vocals), Nuno Bettencourt (guitar), Pat Badminton (bass), and Kevin Figueiredo (drums) launched a new single, Rise.

Nuno emphasized that the birth of this single was motivated by the departure of Eddie Van Halen which hit him.

"I will not be the one to seize the throne (Eddie Van Halen), but I feel responsible for keeping the guitar playing alive. So, you hear a lot of enthusiasm in this single," explained Nuno.

This song is the opening for the new album Extreme, Six, which will be released June 9 via earMUSIC.

The plan, Six will contain 12 songs. Apart from Rise, other songs include; Other Side Of The Rainbow, #Rebel, and X Out.

"Batically, this is aggressive," said Gary Cherone about the song Rise.

"In lyric, this is a story of a warning about the ups and downs of fame. You are tempted into it. Once you are on top, they will tear you apart and destroy you. That's animal nature," continued the vocalist.

Rise, is also available in the form of video clips directed by Nuno and filmed in Los Angeles. Check out the video clip below.
