Bintang Indrianto's Blue Fire Project Born To Unbounded Exploration

JAKARTA - Bintang Indrianto's bassist released his latest album entitled Bintang Indrianto's Blue Fire Project' on February 24 as a continuation of his collaboration with record label Demajors.

The Blue Fire Project is a souvenir by Bintang Indrianto from Banyuwangi, who for the last three years he stopped every month. At the same time it becomes an unlimited exploration of a senior musician like Bintang.

Blue Fire Project can exist because of the Gunung Jazz. For four years I was in the neighborhood of the event," said Bintang in his statement.

"When I got a share for the event at Ijen, Banyuwangi, I feel a loss if I don't collaborate with local traditional musicians."

As a result, a number of tracks were created. One of them, Gandrung Sewu, who was inspired by the beauty of a thousand human statues dancing Gandrung, a typical Banyuwangi dance that expresses gratitude after harvest.

For recording production, Gandrung Sewu and other tracks were carried out independently by Bintang in the Javanese Jiwa Sanggraloka area, on the slopes of Mount Ijen.

Various musical instruments of Banyuwangi that were present in the recording were played by a local musical talent named Andori.

The talent search event and music clinic with local young musicians, supported by the Gunung Jazz, brought together Bintang with young talents such as Roby Aghani and Andre Pujianto.

Roby's guitar playing and Andre's vocals came in the closing composition titled the Javanese Soul. Meanwhile, keyboardist Imam Garmansyah contributed to the composition titled Riko, who in the original Banyuwangi language, Osing, means 'you'.

The album Bintang Indrianto's Blue Fire Project can now be heard on all digital streaming platforms and CDs can be obtained through the distribution demajors network.
