Visiting The Tombs Of Alexi Laiho In Helsinki, Randy Blythe And Mille Petrozza: Happy To Give Respect

JAKARTA - Prior to the Lamb Of God and Creator concerts at JgelarHalli, Helsinki, Finland on February 19 during the European tour "State Of Unrest", Randy Blythe and Mille Petrozza visited the tomb of child Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho.

Blythe, who is the vocalist of Lamb Of God, told Chaoszine about the experience.

"It's great. Of course I miss him. Our PR at Nuclear Blast, and then another friend, when I was here in Kontfest, we discussed it, and they were like, 'Oh, when you get back on this tour, we promised to take you there'," said Randy.

"So, I went there - Mille and I from Creators did it - and today it snowed, so it was so beautiful. I took a lot of photos and lit candles and greeted them. It's nice to be respectful. I miss the guy. We made a lot of paths with him, very far away."

Meanwhile, Mille told the same media about his visit to Alexi's grave.

"Very peaceful. The funeral was very beautiful. Everything was snowy. And the funeral site Alexi had a very good gift from fans and guitar pick-up. Sad and cheerful at the same time. So, yes, I think Alexi wants us to go there and hang out with him for a while. And hopefully he's here with the spirit of tonight."

The headstone of Alexi, whose bottom features a line of the song Children Of Bodom, Kissing The Shadows ("So together in peace we shall be"), was inaugurated last August at Malmi Cemetary, a large funeral located in the Malmi district of Helsinki, where the 41-year-old musician's ashes were buried at the end of 2020.

Before the headstone was installed, social media posts from Alexi's grave showed candles standing above his burial place.
