Max Cavalera Finds It Difficult To Accept The Presence Of Pantera Without Paul And Dimebag

JAKARTA - Former Sepultura vocalist/guitarist, Max Cavalera, is back in response to the rise of Pantera after the two founders of the brothers left, drummer

The four metalheads are the main performers of a number of major festivals in South America, Asia, North America, and Europe as well as holding several of their own main concerts.

They will also support Metallica on a massive stadium tour in North America by 2023 and 2024.

Max, who has spent the last few years playing Sepultura-centric performances with his younger brother, Igor Cavalera (former Sepultura drummer) discussed his views on Pantera's comeback in an interview with Thomas S. Orwat, Jr. from Rock Interview Series.

"There are two sides to that, right?! It's very difficult, because on the one hand I understand that fans want to see Pantera, and you still have a big part of the band, but you lose two key elements to two irreplaceable brothers, in my eyes. So it's difficult. It's very difficult, "said the Soulfly frontman.

Previously, Max discussed the return of Pantera in an interview with the podcast "Appette For Distortion" last month.

"I think they (Pantera) are cool to do this. I did something very similar to my sister (Igor), where we came out and played a lot of songs from Sepulura's album that fans really liked and they never got it."

"The opportunity to see it, for one reason or another. And they can see it with the original drummer, vocalist and guitarist. So that's the closest to the original. And Pantera is the same thing."
