Prospective Viewers Of Gudfest 2022 Are The Organizers Of Their Money Return: There's No Reason!

JAKARTA - Three months since the 2022 Gudfest event was canceled, the ticket refund process has not gone well. Prospective spectators demand that Gudlive as the organizer keep their promises.

Gudfest 2022 was originally scheduled to be held on November 18-20 at the Gelora Bung Karno Area. However, five days before the D day, Gudlive stated that the girl's event was postponed until March 2023.

"The 2022 Gudfest has been officially postponed to March next year," read Gudlive's official statement on their Instagram account on November 14.

In that statement, Gudlive did not specify the reason for the postponement of Gudfest 2022. They only said that there were technical reasons that had not been fulfilled.

The disappointment of ticket buyers was unstoppable in flooding the comments column of Gudfest's Instagram. The reason is, they only have to count the days to attend the festival that presents the line-up - including - Chvrches, Honne, Rendy Pandugo withEE Wee Gaskins, and Basboi with Iwa K.

They asked the organizers to return the money that had been spent, according to ticket prices. One of them, Kurniawan, who bought two tickets for the Early Fest Daily 3 category at a price of IDR 1.3 million in September 2022.

A few hours later, Gudlive uploaded a photo containing procedures and links for the refund process. Ticket buyers immediately stormed the link. But, surprisingly, Gudlive has not fulfilled their promise to complete the refund process. Even now.

"When I opened the (link) it was like a google form, so I filled in personal data, I finally completed all the proof of ticket purchases. Then, there was an e-mail reply from him, if my data was received. They also announced that the period of application for the refund was until December 2022 and the refund process would start from that month, which took 30-60 working days. Yes, I was optimistic that it would be refunded," Kurniawan explained to VOI.

However, frustration began to emerge from Kurniawan when Gudfest uploaded his second wave event for March 2023 with a different line-up. Sum 41 as the headliner, backed by NTRL and Summerlane as well as Rocket Rockers, Stereo Wall, and many others.

"Well, from there I started to wonder, how come the promoter has not finished making a new event? We as ticket buyers in 2022 have followed all the procedures they gave, why haven't the refund been processed either?" Kurniawan complained.

When viewed from the Instagram comments column of the organizers, which amounted to approximately 1000 people, they on average asked for a refund for the first batch event last year. Almost no one welcomed the second wave of events enthusiastically. In fact, not a few people want to take this issue to the realm of law.

"It means that there is something wrong with this event. Maybe you could say 100 percent of ticket buyers have not received the refund," he added.

Kurniawan emphasized that before the organizers uploaded the new line-up names, they announced on the Instagram feed that the refund process had reached 50 percent. However, a day later the post was deleted because ticket buyers felt they were being lied to.

"Essentially, the buyer of the 2022 Gudfest ticket demands a refund before the 2023 Gudfest concert starts. There is no reason! Because they have provided a refund procedure, we have filled it all. And until now I haven't received a fraction of money," he concluded.
