JAKARTA - A new report from the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) reveals that electronic music is the most popular genre at British festivals.
According to the report, up to 29 percent of electronic artists dominate festivals compared to rock (22 percent) and pop (21 percent).
More than 2.4 million people have also attended the 145 UK festivals featuring electronic music over the past 12 months and 67 percent of them are major electronic festivals.

The report also found that the electronic music industry, including concerts, festivals, and clubs, was worth more than 2.6 billion in value to the British economy and the genre was the second most popular in the UK after pop music.
"Electronic music is one of Britain's modest phenomena, it forms and embraces the community, educates, inspires, and unites Britain with its unique cultural form," said Michael Kill, CEO of NTIA, quoted from NME, Friday.
