JAKARTA - A thrash metal troop from Jakarta, Divine ejected a new single titled Zona thrash. An anthem follow-up to Long Live thrash Metal which is full of passion.

Through Zona thrash, Heyckel (guitar), Wisnu (guitar), Andi Jaka (vocals), Inno (drums), and Amink (bass) also want to pay tribute to the founder of Divine, Ucokk Tampubolon, who died in August 2015.

Talking about the songwriting process, according to guitarist Muhammad Heyckel, all Divine's works always come from a simple idea. Likewise with Zona thrash.

"Usually, Wisnu and I will make basic riffs, then the structure of songs and lyrics will be done together," Heyckel told VOI.

Divine also never closes doors to listen and absorbs various references, either from the metal or non-metal realm.

"For Zona thrash, in terms of music, it carries the spirit of the song Long Live thrash Metal (2015), but is updated with modern riffs. The riff itself is inspired by Testament, Judas Priest, and the like," the guitarist added.

Not only that. Divine also tries to optimize all aspects, from the structure of songs, lyrics, to production. Yes, Divine always 'upgrade' in every song they make.

For that, through the song Zona thrash, Divine wants their music to be liked by many people. In fact, even those who are not fans of metal music.

"For metal music connoisseurs, old school or new school, both spirits are in this song. Showing fast but non-permanent riffs and beats, lyrics that are as they are but have messages, and harmonious composition," Heyckel gave reasons why the metalheads must listen to the Zona thrash song.

The song Zona thrash is already available on digital music platforms. Currently, Divine is making singles for singles for the next full album.
