JAKARTA - Powerslaves, a rock band that was founded in 1991 will complete the line up for the fourth edition of JogjaROCKarta. Rajawali Indonesia promoters confirmed the presence of the singer of the song Find Our Love Again via Instagram.
Monday, February 3 evening, the Instagram account @jogjarockartafestival announced that the Semarang-based band consisting of Heydi Ibrahim (vocals), Anwar Fatahillah (bass), Wiwiex Soedarno (keyboards), and Agung Yudha (drums) will perform at the Kridosono Stadium on March 1. .

JogjaROCKarta: International Rock Music Festival, that is the full name of this event, is an annual agenda held by Rajawali Indonesia Communication. On its debut in 2017, JogjaROCKarta successfully won the world progressive metal giant Dream Theater as headliner in two concert days.

Powerslaves Releases New Version Only You
Meanwhile, Heydi Ibrahim et al recently continued a series of archiving old songs which culminated in the release of the album The Best by releasing a new version of the song Only You. The original version of Only Kamu resided in the debut album, Metal Kecil, released in 1995. The basic lyrics were written by Wiwiex Soedarno which was then wrapped in a romantic medium beat music with a touch of rock.
"This song is an expression of adolescent's true love that is not doubted so that the word 'only you are one' is revealed," Wiwiex revealed the meaning of the lyrics in Only Kamu to VOI.
In terms of arrangement, this song did not undergo a drastic overhaul. However, Wiwiex Soedarno admitted that the cultivation process took a long time.
"When we think the arrangement is cool, we will not change it. Only the sound has changed significantly due to technological developments and there is indeed a more mature Heydi Ibrahim way of singing," explained the keyboardist.
"The cultivation process is quite long because we need to settle for some time so that the details of the song are really worked out, because this is a work that will be heard forever," he continued.
The reason Powerslaves recorded and re-released some of their old hits is because they didn't own the master record. As an opening, You and I were launched on October 24th.
"The old master record was on the old label. Finally we took steps to re-record these old songs," said Anwar Fatahillah.
Founded in 1991, throughout his 28 years of career, Powerslaves has etched their musical blueprints in a number of recorded works such as; Small Metal (1995), Metal Cartoon (1996), Rock & Roll Train (1998), Powerslaves (2002), Ga 'Will Die (2004), Don't You Die (EP, 2010), 100% Rock N Roll, (2012) ), and Nationality Rock (EP, 2013).
All the hits on these albums will be put into The Best album which will be released in the near future. Of course, includes new versions of You and Me and Only You and Dream, If You Understand, and Find Our Love Again which will be released later.
