JAKARTA - The Chrisye Live by Erwin Gutawa concert which will be held on September 30 is claimed to be the most unique concert ever in the world.

Quoted from a press release received by ANTARA, Tuesday (19/9), the concert, which is scheduled to perform on September 30 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Convention Center, will collaborate with technological sophistication with a number of masterpieces left by the late Chrisye.

"The concept is unique and definite. Maybe the only one in the world. People watch concerts, but viewers will hear Chrisye's cool voice (deceased) who will interact with me, and other friends. The audience will certainly get a different sensation," said Erwin.

Erwin admits this kind of concert is like the concept of a show when Nat King Cole is revived when a duet with his daughter, Natalie Cole.

"But this Chrisye concert takes place in all shows, different from Nat King Cole," he said.

The concert, which was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Convention Center Convention Center, was an initiative of musician Erwin Gutawa who wanted to erase the fan's longing for the late Chrisye. Later, the style and voice of Chrisye, who passed away on March 30, 2007, will "present" and sing in multimedia form.

The 2-hour concert will feature 2 content in one packaging event, namely Erwin Gutawa's main appearance with his orchestra which will feature two solo singers, namely Michael Jakarimilena and Cantika Abigail as guest stars.

Then the second content or the opening session which is also packaged musically by presenting several talented singers and musicians such as: Mia Ismi, Putri Ariani and Alien Child who will perform Chrisye's songs in the early session.

"This concert will provide a unique concert viewing experience that will remain exciting and the audience can enjoy Chrisye's Hits voice and can still be enjoyed with the support of young singers who interpret their style while singing reminisce to encourage all Indonesian musician artists," Erwin explained as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 21.

Taba Sachabakhtiar as a visual division explained that the concert will visually present Chrisye's pictures and videos from the 1994-2003 footage.

"We will pack this gap. Hopefully it will be able to bring Chrisye on stage," he said.

Meanwhile, Harry Koko Santoso, who is one of the initiators of this performance, explained many reasons why Chrisye had to be awarded this special concert.

"There are many extraordinary achievements Chrisye. On the album Badai Pasti Through, the popularity is bigger than the film. Only a few songs can do this, one of which is Roxette in the film Pretty Woman. And that achievement, Chrisye has done it long ago," he said.

Koko added that the same thing happened when Chrisye popularized the Little Candle single.

"Also the song Lilin Kecil, which did not win in the Youth Song Creation competition, but later became more popular a year later. It happened thanks to Chrisye's singing. Therefore, on September 30, it is a momentum, that great artists remain celebrated in Indonesia, so don't hesitate to be artists anymore," he said.

On the other hand, Pasya as Chrisye's youngest child said she was happy with the presence of this special concert.

"The journey of papa's career is closely related to the JCC. Papa concerts at the JCC three times. Then there is the concert of the Eternal Kidung after he does not exist. Moreover, every Erwin uncle who holds it, there is always a new treats. So, don't miss this concert," said Pasya.

This concert is the work of EG Production in collaboration with the Trisatya Show & Entertainment and KIMS to present a Chrisye Live by Erwin Gutawa Concert which was held at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Central Jakarta on September 30, 2002 night.
