Success In The Promotion Of MSMEs With Kahitna, Djakarta Festival Will Become Annual Agenda

JAKARTA - The implementation of the DKI Jakarta Djakarta Festival (26-28 August 2022) which was initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) was officially closed on Sunday, August 28, 2022. The event, which lasted for three days at the Senayan East Parking, managed to attract the interest of thousands of people present.

To enliven the event, the Marching Band and Cheerleader Competition was also held by attracting the Education Office and high school students as well as vocational schools. Not to forget well-known artists such as Kahitna, Andra & Backbone were brought in to entertain visitors as well as enliven Djakarta Festival 2022.

In addition, the 2022 Djakarta Festival also embraces more than 300 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Small and Medium Industries (IKM) from the culinary, fashion, craft and technopreneur business sectors.

In the inaugural implementation of the 2022 Djakarta Festival, the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry carries the theme "Encourage the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in Responding to Regulation and Application of Domestic Competency Levels (TKDN) for Strengthening Entrepreneurs" and the sub-Meme "implementation of TKDN in the Context of Empowerment and Strengthening IKM and MSMEs in the Recovery of the Jakarta Economy".

KADIN DKI Jakarta also involves MSMEs and IKM Disabilities. A total of four MSMEs with disabilities from the Social Service assisted by elderly orphanages, disability parlors and communities took part in the 2022 Djakarta Festival. Two of them are the brand Pulas Katumdera (Puka) and Tenoon. The two brands are fashion and craft products whose production processes involve people with disabilities.

For Tenoon, for example, several of its production teams are physically and deaf people. Puka also collaborates with B-C Extraordinary School students who have non-grahita and deaf disabilities in making various handicraft products. These two MSMEs facilitate people with disabilities to continue to work and be empowered despite their limitations.

Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Diana Dewi, revealed that both visitors and MSMEs can be involved in the 2022 Djakarta Festival event for free. It is easier for SMEs and MSMEs to get booth facilities (tends, tables, chairs, electricity).

The big concept of the Djakarta Festival in this activity is the left behind. This means that all layers are invited to collaborate. DKI Jakarta KADIN wants to take concrete action so that MSMEs belonging to disabilities can be on par with other MSMEs. Disabilities as part of society are side by side with other pillars, namely the government, the business world, and the general public," he said in a release received by VOI, Tuesday, August 30.

Dewi continued, in the implementation of the 2022 DKI Jakarta Djakarta Festival, the KADIN formed a small team led by Uchy Hardiman as the Organizing Chair. Although the preparation time was very short, namely three months, Uchy and his team were able to realize the Djakarta Festival with a large interest from visitors. Even in terms of MSMEs and IKM involved in the Djakarta Festival, they were disabled and were able to get turnover 2-3 times per day.

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan who was present to close the event also welcomed the 2022 Djakarta Festival. He hopes that the forum initiated by the DKI Jakarta KADIN can be a routine continuous activity to support the MSMEs of Jakarta residents to recover their economy.

"It's a great (Djakarta Festival 2022 event), I appreciate the efforts of the Jakarta KADIN. This is an opportunity for MSMEs to reach a new market. They are actors who must continue to be facilitated. So, this is a very good collaboration. Hopefully with the Djakarta Festival, they will grow faster in the future. Not a big (business actor), but raise (business actors) who are small," said Anies.

In collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Health Office, KADIN DKI Jakarta also held Booster Vaccination Centers to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus and the National Children Immunization Month (BIAN).
