JAKARTA - Tyson Fury's decision to retire from boxing shocked his fans. Fury also gave horrendous news about his future.

Fury's decision to hang up his gloves at the weekend broke the assumption that he would face the winner between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

Fury said he would stay away from boxing and chose to vacate his heavyweight title. He even opened up the possibility to record a music album.

"I've done well outside of boxing. The world is now open to many things. I'm making a Netflix documentary right now," Fury said.

“I will also be recording an album soon. Who knows, you might even see me on the silver screen."

Previously, the 34-year-old boxer had recorded a Christmas song titled Bad Sharon with Robbie Williams three years ago. Armed with that experience, Fury said he could go back to recording with other singers like Adele or Ed Sheeran.

"Yeah, I might do a little (recording) with Ed Sheeran or Adele," Fury added.

Besides that, the world of music doesn't seem foreign to Fury. Because, he has also collaborated with Don McLean to bring back American Pie to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the song.

The British heavyweight world champion is also popular for playing the song every time he wins. His song with McLean was also briefly shown live at Wembley ahead of his victory over Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 fans.

Before retiring, Fury actually had plans to take on Derek Chisora. However, he decided to stay retired. On his 34th birthday, Fury delivered a statement that read:

"Many thanks to everyone who has provided input into my career over the years and after a long difficult conversation I have finally decided to leave and on my 34th birthday I say goodbye."
