JAKARTA - BMW Motorrad distributor and importer in Indonesia, PT Layur Astiti Bumi Kencana has officially held a 'GS Race' in Bandung, precisely located at Cikole Jayagiri Resort Lembang, West Java.

The event is the second series of four series of BMW Motorrad Indonesia series to be held until next year. This continues from the first series that has been held in Pagedangan, BSD.

The CEO of BMW Motorrad Indonesia, Fransiska Ingrid, expressed his gratitude to sponsors and participants who came from within and outside the country for participating in this event.

"We are very proud and happy to be able to present a platform for all riders without restrictions on categories, communities and backgrounds," Fransiska said in his statement, Tuesday, December 10.

The event which took place in Kembang City was attended by 130 participants who will show their driving skills with several motorcycle variants from the GS family, including G 310 GS.

Different from before, this second series has different terrain characteristics from the weather and the daily temperature is cooler than before.

This has an impact on lower grips and tracing due to dew that covers grass and soil and mud in the track area so that participants must certainly have more qualified skills and skills than the previous series.

In addition to the influence of weather and temperature, the series is increasingly challenging with the presence of the types of obstacles presented so that drivers must maximize their driving skills.

The event started with a Technical Meeting where participants were invited to introduce track and also the assessment process and regulations carried out by the committee. Participants are also allowed to carry out track walks and conduct trials with the motorbike that has been provided.

Then, the event started with the 'Ceremony Flag Parade' to welcome several participants from various countries, including Germany, Hong Kong, Vietnam, to Brunei Darussalam.

This second series was presented with nine different obstacles for motorists, consisting of Bike Balance, Wooden Log, Barrel Push, Tire Balance, Cidori Balance, Elephant Down, Grind Balance, Baloon Popping, to Hill Start Stop.

The GS Race event is divided into two categories of competitions, namely G 310 GS and Big Bike (above 500 cc). With the 2 categories contested, it certainly adds an opportunity for each participant to be able to participate in both categories at once.
