JAKARTA - The annual international classic motorcycle exhibition "Spring Stafford Sale" will take place April 22-23 this year in the UK.

One of the interesting things about this event is the auction, and one of the motorbikes that will be auctioned is the legendary Ducati 125 cc Desmodromic "Barcone" racing bike that Mike Hailwood was driving at the 1960 Grand Prix racing event.

Ducati Mike Hailwood is one of the best racing motorbikes ever produced by Ducati. Quoted from Rideapart, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Barcone can waste 21.8 dk of power at 11,800 rpm which is equipped with six acceleration transmissions. The machine is also equipped with an instruction sheet that records specifics about the motor, such as oil specifics, the use of the right fuel, the best achievement of the motor, and other technical records.

This bike has a D1 engine code and only four prototype machines are available in the race from D1 to D4, which were produced exclusively in its time. Mike Hailwood rode the 125 Barcone D1 by winning nine consecutive wins in the 125 cc class.

After Mike signed a contract with Honda, his father, Stan Hailwood decided to sell Barcone, but 125 Barcone D1 has been recorded in Ducati's history book.

Now, the bike is part of the Forshaw Family collection for 41 years and will be offered at Bonhams auction with several documents and spare parts.

With its uniqueness and a very rich history, this bike will be a very valuable collection item for anyone who manages to own it, Barcone 125 is likely to sell between 95,000 to 120,000 pounds (around Rp1.75 billion and Rp2.21 billion).
