JAKARTA - BMW is one of the automotive manufacturers that is committed to presenting more electrified vehicles in the future. This vision will also be applied to high-performance cars from the BMW M division.
In a new video on BMW M's official channel titled BMW M Electrified, this brand reveals insights into new technologies by promising driving dynamics liked by fans of the brand.
Quoted from the BMW Blog, Wednesday, December 11, M's next car will take the basis of the Neue Classe or the concept used for future models of BMW.
According to the company, the next high-performance car will carry a new all-wheel drive system (AWD) with an integrated driving dynamics control system.
The system tested on a prototype vehicle promises a different level of dexterity, precision, and performance than before. By relying on four electric motors, it allows it to have unique driving characteristics.
The German manufacturer explained that each wheel can be powered or braked separately so that it offers instantaneous adjustments.
BMW M GmbH Head of Development, Dirk Hacker explained that this innovation can realize the wishes of drivers in owning vehicles with fast and precise characteristics.
"We can realize the driver's wishes more precisely, faster, and more independently than ever with an extraordinary four-motor force," explained Hacker.

Hackers also explained that when BMW M transitions to electrification, it adheres to the philosophy of the brand, which is to present driving dynamics, agility, and precision that exceeds the expectations of its customers.
"We aim to keep the familiar driving dynamics, while introducing innovations that surprise and please our fans," added Hacker.
BMW M has also developed its high-performance cars for nearly three years. This prototype combines fully electric powertrains and advanced energy storage systems that allow not only rapid acceleration but also convex dynamics and superior recovery capabilities.
Hackers also confirmed that the prototype was designed for high load conditions, ensuring the car has the capability above a capable race track.
"Without the ability in the racing arena, the model won't be a real BMW M," said Hacker.
Unfortunately, BMW is not willing to reveal the launch time of its first BMW M EV. It is estimated that the model will be launched in 2027 with a name still being considered, between iM3 or defending M3.
