Hyundai officially introduced Hyundai Ioniq 6 to the Indonesian market at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The presence of Hyundai Ioniq 6 in Indonesia is the result of the success of his predecessor, Ioniq 5, which is one of the most popular electric cars in the country.

However, Hyundai only offers one variant for this electric sedan, namely the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant, which is one of the highest variants of this model.

Even so, it seems that Hyundai is confident in this choice. Francis Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), explained that the company had planned to launch this electric sedan carefully. He also stated that the AWD variant is a suitable choice for the needs of the Indonesian people.

"Hyundai Ioniq 6 has dimensions with a length of 4,855 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. With that size, Ioniq 6 offers convenience for users.

Unlike the Malaysian market which has two types, HMID decided to provide only one variant for Ioniq 6, namely the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant. This car is expected to be a competitor to cars such as the Tesla Model 3 and Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan.

The AWD variant is equipped with a double electric motor that drives all wheels, producing a combination power of up to 320 dk and 605 Nm torque. This car has impressive performance with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.1 seconds.

Power from electric motors is supplied by a lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 77.4 kWh, which provides a range of up to 519 km.

Thanks to the E-GMP platform, which has the ability to handle voltages of up to 800V, Hyundai Ioniq 6 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes via DC 350 kW fast charging.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 is available in various color choices, including Abyss Black Pearl, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Digital Green Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocture Gray Matte, Serenity White Pearl, and Ultimate Red Metallic.

The price of Hyundai Ioniq 6 AWD sells for IDR 1.197 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta. Matte's color choice requires an additional fee of IDR 3.5 million.
