JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz officially introduced the 2024 E-Class, with a dynamic and elegant look equipped with several futuristic and interesting features.

How not interesting, even the car is embedded with a camera that can facilitate the needs of video conferencing such as Zoom. And there is also a TikTok platform video for E-Class customers who like to make videos.

There are five cameras embedded in the 2024 E-Class interior reported from Motor1, Tuesday, April 25. One camera to monitor the driver to always pay attention to the road, two camera lenses that can help the advanced driver system, then a movement camera in the overhead control panel is part of the MBUX Interior Assistant feature.

Finally, there are two RGB cameras with one camera on the dashboard and one selfie camera that creates video conferencing such as Zoom and even makes TikTok videos in the car.

In addition, there is also a 3D display that uses stereoscopic effects, there is Active Ambient Lighting, and MBUX Superscreen which consists of a wide screen blending with the center view.

To help the driver, Mercedes has prepared an E-Class feature in the form of technology to increase voice commands. E-Class also uses the AI system to learn the routine of car owners.

Mercedes offers two trims to the E-Class model, namely E 350 and E 450. Trim E 350 is equipped with a turbocharged 4-liter engine with a small millid-hybrid-tech electric motor, which can emit 255 dk and 399 Nm of torque and is available for an additional 20 dk.

For E 450, the performance offered is much more impressive. With a Turbo I6 engine accompanied by a mild-hybrid system, the power can reach 375 dk and a 500 Nm torque, and also provide an additional 20 dk.

The manufacturer has not announced the price and sales date for the 2024 E-Class. Production will begin later this year at the Sindelfingen, Germany and Beijing, China factories.
