JAKARTA - Honda car distributor holder in Indonesia, Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) presents a tiny electric car, Honda e to Karawang, West Java on Monday, April 10.

The car has a tiny size with a slightly stiff, modern and suitable design in urban areas. Honda e is one of the many Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) produced by Honda, unfortunately this type will not be sold in Indonesia.

The car, which has a classic box design, has a size dimension such as a hatchback car in general, which is 3,890 mm long, 1,750 mm wide, and 1,510 mm high.

According to Yusak Billy, as Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director of PT Honda Porspect Motor, HPM presents Honda e to Indonesia with the various technology offered and adds to the pleasant driving experience.

"We want to introduce our BEV 'Honda e', a very fun to drive car, and advanced technology," Billy said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 11.

To note, Honda was introduced to the public in 2017 but the BEV technology it has for now is quite sophisticated, especially some of the features in it.

Honda e is equipped with two main monitor screens on the interior, precisely located on the length of the car dashboard. Then, the car is also embedded with digital mirror screen technology on the inside of the car.

The electric hatchback is equipped with an electric motor that can produce 151 dk of power and 315 Nm of torque. Interestingly, the hatchback collaborates with the rear wheel drive system. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/hour in just 8.3 seconds in sports mode, while in normal mode it only takes 8.6 seconds.

Honda e is equipped with a practical lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh which makes the car go up to 220 km in a fully charged state. This is shorter when compared to the rival car, the Nissan Leaf which can travel as far as 378 km in a full battery state.

However, the charging capability on Honda e is fairly impressive. The battery can be fully charged directly with a 50/100 kW DC Charger system for about 30 minutes to reach 80 percent charging.
