Ahead Of Production Debut, Here Are Initial Specifications For Renault 5 EV

Renault recently released the initial specifications of the 5th model to be produced next year. The car will be equipped with an electric engine and will use the EV CMF-B platform. Renault will also use 70% of the parts from Clio and Captur to cut production costs.

The 5-model will only use four major modules for battery modules, which can help cut the weight of 15 kilograms of the car. In addition, the car will also be upgraded to the bottom of the body by connecting better batteries to the surrounding platform. For the rear suspension, Renault will use a multi-link suspension on the latest 5 model.

Currently, as reported by Motor1, Thursday, March 30, Renault has not disclosed the power specifications of the 5-electric model. However, they guarantee that this car will use the same electric motor as Megane E-Tech Electric. This car was caught in a spyshot while tested using a body from Clio. The company has also tested nine vehicles in Northern Europe, Paris, and Normandy.

Renault 5 is an iconic model once produced by a French manufacturer in the past. The car was first launched in 1972 to 1996. In 2021, Renault unveiled the concept of Renault 5 EV. In addition, Renault's brother Alpine will also work on model 5 with his own version.
