Turned Into An SUV, Renault Introduces New Espace For 2023

JAKARTA - After releasing the image teaser some time ago, Renault finally introduced the latest Espace model in a different form. In the previous generation in the form of an MPV, it has now become an SUV.

Under the name "All-new Espace", this car has a wide capacity of 5 or 7 seats. This car joins the front lines of the brand in segments C and D.

Reporting from Renault's official website, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, the SUV has an elegant and athletic design. Despite turning into an SUV, the latest Espace has 5 or 7 seats to take people long distances.

On the interior side, Renault completed a sunset feature with an area of one square meter, which is claimed to be one of the largest in the market. Espace also has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch touch screen. In addition, this latest SUV is equipped with a wireless charger and a pair of 12V standouts, and two USB-C ports on each line.

While on the wheels, a 19 or 20-inch wheel is mounted depending on the trim level. Meanwhile, from the weight, this car weighs 215 kg lighter than its predecessor.

The All-new Espace is a hybrid car, which carries a 1.3 liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with a pair of electric motors. The gasoline engine can produce 131 dk and 205 Nm torque, then the main motor has 68 dk and 205 Nm of power, and the second electric motor is a generator with a power of 25 dk and a torque of 50 Nm. In total, it will be 199 dk powered.

Speaking of speed, the All-new Espace can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds which can go at a full speed of up to 175 km/hour. Renault will open an all-new Espace order in the spring.
