JAKARTA - To replace the STI trademark, Subaru is rumored to be replacing it with a "Ste". Subaru also officially filed a "Ste" with the patent and trademark office in Germany.

With the "Ste" brand, it is suspected that this manufacturer from the country of tikra will immediately switch to producing electric cars. What's more, they have officially stopped producing their flagship STI product, Subaru WRX STI a year ago.

Quoted from CarBuzz, Jum'at, March 24, Subaru will soon reveal the concept of its latest electric supercar under the name STI E-RA which marks the start of the electrification era for Subaru. For this model, Subaru still maintains the STI brand on its car.

E-RA stands for Electric-Record Attemput. Confirmed by the manufacturer, that STI E-RA has a power of 1,000 dk.

Meanwhile, the STe brand will be applied to Subaru cars that are fully electric cars and not for plug-in hybrids. Then, the car produced is a flat-four 2.5 liter turbocharged or flat-four DIT 2.0 liter, Subaru maintains the STI brand.

For your information, STI stands for Subaru Tecnica International, a subsidiary of Subaru which was founded in 1988. STI also runs the racing division for Subaru, as well as builds a road legal homologation model for racing purposes.

Subaru has also announced the construction of an EV-only factory next to the Oizumi plant. This proves Subaru's seriousness in the transition to electric cars.
