JAKARTA - Recently, Kia launched a concept car from the EV5 crossover in China, an electric SUV that will enter production later this year.

The EV5 concept is a manifestation of complementary natural landscape contrasts and man-made architectures. Created for those looking for new, preventive ideas, the exterior architecture and interior of the SUV focus on users," explained Karim Habib, Head of Design Global Kia, quoted from Carscoops, Monday, March 20.

For the exterior, Kia EV5 combines a unique design as well as a futuristic typical South Korean manufacturer. With a more boxy design, which makes the electric SUV look sturdy and unique.

Not to forget, the front is equipped with "Digital Tiger Face" which of course continues the tradition of "Tiger Nose Grille" on the front of Kia's previous car.

Moving to the interior, the door can open wide so that the cabin looks clear from the outside. This electric SUV is equipped with four seats that can rotate outward, just like EV9.

In addition, Kia added a large panoramic sunset feature in order to see the view of the sky above. The steering section is also equipped with a large touchscreen on the dashboard that can help the driver.

Not only carrying electrical energy, Kia also uses recycled materials made from seaweed extract on the seats, doors, dashboards and headliners. It can be confirmed that they do not use any animal skin in EV5 raw materials.

With its first launch in China, Kia also confirmed that the EV5 concept will change to a year-end production vehicle. For powertrain details, range and other range will be announced when the production version launches.
