Isuzu Presents The Latest Generation Elf Truck With The First EV Variant

JAKARTA - A Japanese automaker, Isuzu announced an update on the N-Series and F-Series truck models. The truck, known in Japan with the name "Elf", is the seventh generation model. This truck comes with improvements and updates, especially improving the safety features of truck vehicles.

Interestingly, there is an Electric Vehicle (EV) variant for this truck. This is the first time Isuzu has produced and introduced electric vehicles.

On the exterior, Elf took the grille design from his brother, Isuzu D-Max. The front light retains Isuzu's identity even though there is a difference when compared to his predecessor.

For the cabin, Isuzu is very focused on driver comfort by introducing Isuzu Smooth Intelligent Transmission (ISIM).

ISIM is a double-coupling transmission of nine accelerations that offers better fuel savings. The Gearbox reportedly keeps the RPM level low in order to save fuel and reduce truck noise.

Not only that, Isuzu also pinned advanced security features on Elf, such as improving stereo cameras, millimeter wave radar and monitoring driver status and other features that prioritize driver safety.

Now back to the EV variant on the Elf model, with the Elf BEV name available five packages of installed batteries with each capacity of 20 kWh.

The latest truck from Isuzu is scheduled to come out this summer. For the price, Isuzu set a price of 6,481,000 yen or around IDR 728 million.
