Learning From The Case, Venna Melinda Invites Victims Of Domestic Violence To Dare To Report

JAKARTA - Venna Melinda is still fighting for justice over the alleged acts of domestic violence (KDRT) committed by Ferry Irawan against her. The case is still ongoing at the Kediri District Court (PN).

Not only for himself, Venna hopes that the case he faces can be a lesson for many women who experience the same thing. He encouraged the victims to dare to report the domestic violence they experienced.

The artist who had been a member of the DPR told how he received a lot of support from the mothers he met. After the domestic violence case experienced, Venna also admitted that she was better known when she was in a public place.

"I never thought this case could make many women out there motivated. I don't think I'm going anywhere. Like at the mall prayer, I usually pray for people, not really who I am because I don't play soap operas, if I go to prayer now at the mall, people feel it, especially like 'Mba Venna, I pray for you to be strong, be patient, I salute'," said Venna Melinda to the media crew in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta on Wednesday, April 26.

There are those who have experience like me too. They finally have the idea that domestic violence is not a disgrace. So they dare to speak up. That's for women who really want to fight for the truth," he continued.

Venna hopes that the public will see the domestic violence case they face as in the trial. He felt there was no need to respond to other gossips outside the existing legal process.

He did not want this case to be in vain because the public was distracted by other things outside the trial. The mother of three did not want what she had been through for four months not to be a lesson for women.

"So for all Indonesian women, there is no need to be afraid if we report domestic violence, if later there is a psy war, there is slander. And never not be close to Allah, because once we are not close to Allah, when we are mentally war, we will definitely drop, because that is what we want. And I chose to be close to Allah as a way that I can go through this and fight for this in a good and right way, so that it is measurable, "concluded Venna Melinda.
