Jimin BTS Sets Record With Like Crazy, 1st Position On Billboard Hot 100

JAKARTA - Not a week since the release of his solo album, Jimin BTS has set a new record in his music career. Billboard announced his debut song Like Crazy ranked first in Billboard Hot 100.

The Billboard Hot 100 music chart contains a list of 100 popular songs and is usually controlled by American musicians. This time, Jimin became the first K-pop artist with the first acquisition.

The first position was achieved after Like Crazy produced 10 million total digital plays and 64 thousand total plays via radio. In addition, album sales combined with total song downloads amounted to 254 thousand.

This figure is the highest after being last achieved by Taylor Swift with Anti-Hero last November. Jimin's record also beat PSY who had taken second place with the song Gangnam Style in 2012.

In addition to Billboard Hot 100, the song Like Crazy is also in first place for Billboard Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and World Digital Sales.

Shortly after this announcement was made by Billboard, BTS members celebrated Jimin's new feat. Through their social media, RM and J-Hope uploaded a list of Billboard charts this week.

"I'm proud," wrote RM. It is known that RM participated in writing the lyrics like Crazy.

"This is history. Congratulations," wrote J-Hope while mentioning Jimin's Instagram account.

Jimin also uploaded the historic moment through his social media. He wrote, "Love you all."

Jimin is the fourth BTS member to release a solo project after the agency announced BTS members would focus on solo activities. Meanwhile, recently BIGHIT Music shared the news that J-Hope signed up for military service.
