JAKARTA - Successfully becoming a box office in Malaysia since its broadcast on March 9, the film Pulau Kujuk will be shown in Indonesia. The horror thriller genre film produced by Filmforce Studio, My Way Pictures and WebTVAsia has also aired in Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Titled native to Pulau, this film offers a different storyline from the existing special Malay film, in addition to various elements and thrilling actions that will certainly entertain the audience throughout the story. The audience will be curious about the tensions presented.

The film Pulau tells the story of a group of young people who face a series of endless real-life nightmares, after losing their stake on a remote island. During the holiday together, a group of young people discovered a mysterious village that was accidentally damaged where they recklessly broke the old mantra.

One by one, they became victims as a result of their careless move that angered the island's ancient evil entities.

The film Pulau stars a number of well-known stars in Malaysia, they are Amelia Henderson playing Kat, Alif Satar as Ben, Ikmal Amry as Khai, Joey Leong as Lily, Evie Feroza as Moli/Ghost, Sanjna Suri as Yus, Jazmy Juma as Dauz and Vikar as Mark.

The retro pop single titled Kau Aku One, sung by award winners Alif Satar and The Locos, was chosen to be the original soundtrack for the film Pulau. Other songs that will also be featured as part of the oroginal soundtrack list are Hari Kita, a Malay single released by Thomas Kok, and Sudi's song performed by Dolla x Yonnyboii.

"After working hard for a long time to make this project a success, Pulau finally managed to get the P13 classification. I would like to thank the Malaysian and Finas Film Censorship Council for their professionalism," said Fred Chong, producer of the film Pulau.

Fred Chong revealed that making the film Pulau is not easy, a lot of money, time, and energy is spent. He hopes that the film Pulau can be well received by viewers in various countries.

"Making a film is not an easy process. It is also used to create the island. A lot of money, time, and energy have been spent on making this horror thriller work. Not to forget, the players and the production team who stayed the day and night to work hard to make the film happen," said Fred Chong at the gala premiere, in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 15.

"I believe that our local film arena is not as big as international. I am concerned about the future of Malaysian industry and the freedom of local art people to be creative will be limited in some ways. Therefore, at least what we can do is support each other. I hope the audience does not judge the film before getting a ticket and watching it on their own," he added.
