Prisia Nasution Enjoys The Challenges Of Being A Police

JAKARTA - Prisia Nasution again plays a police officer in the gercaru web series, Katarsis. This time he played a police detective named Jenny.

For the 38-year-old actress, the role of a police officer is nothing new. Previously, Prisia had played a policeman in the film Comic 8: Casino Kings Part 1&2 (2015 and 2016), Pesantren Impian (2016) and Only Human (2019).

Through Jenny's character, Prisia communicated with director Randolph Zaini to present a different police character than what she had played.

"I've played the police character several times. We made Jenny an anomaly. That is, the detective character is among all the men, and here is suddenly a feminimous. Why did she suddenly dress up, even though she came to the TKP," said Prisia Nasution during a press conference at Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta on Monday, February 13, 2023.

The Citra Cup winner said there were challenges when he had to play the police character. The challenge he didn't find when he played other characters he had played before.

"The challenge is that he has to do male work in general, like a chase, there is a shooting scene but uses high weights. That's a challenge," he said.

To play Jenny's character, Prisia did not conduct special training. Several scenes such as running with high weights are common. Meanwhile, for shooting scenes, he has studied them in the previous film project.

Prisia also talked about the similarities between herself and Jenny's character. "Yesterday I was asked how many pop up questions, how much is the ratio, 5 to 10 times the resemblance to Jenny. Yes, she is very active, I also like active sports," he concluded.
