JAKARTA - Pesugihan Film: Close to the Devil begins airing on February 23, 2023 in all Indonesian cinemas. This tense family film tells the life of a harmonious family that is haunted by several mysterious events.

The film, made by director Hanny R. Saputra, under the production of Virgo Putra Films, depicts the life of Marini, who has two children and comes from the background of a wealthy family. Together with her husband, Marini raised her two children with love until one by one the mystery arose leading to irregularities in the family.

Pesugihan: With Devil starring Nirina Zubir (Marini), Gary Iskak (Hendri), Nicole Parham (Karin), Isel Fricella (Resika), Randy Martin (Dion), and Naufal Azhar (Jefta). The screenplay of the film was written by Salman Fariz and Oka Aurora.

Hanny said Pesugihan: Putting together with the Devils is not just a tense film, but also presents the importance of the strength of family ties as part of his message.

"For me, the most important film is the message, namely a family that cannot justify any means to get things that are ego," said director Hanny R. Saputra in the premiere of the film Pesugihan: Joining the Devils in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8.

Hanny said the skewness and greed were the central issue of the film Pesugihan: Allocating with the Devil is still very relevant to human life anywhere and anytime.

"Sometimes we often hear jokes about pesugihan, but it's really terrible when humans fall into trouble. When at that point, it is difficult for humans to get out and everything will be destroyed and even run out," said Hanny.

Furthermore, Hanny assessed, important messages from the film this time can be conveyed through the acting of good players.

"I'm grateful because all the players in this film are very good. I'm also sure all the players believe in what is being played and don't pretend. For me it's an okay achievement so the message arrives," he explained.
