JAKARTA - Pink Floyd will release a 50-year edition of their iconic album, The Dark Side Of The Moon along with a book, new music video and more.
Over the past five decades, the footage has become one of the highest-selling albums of all time and is widely regarded as one of the most influential albums in history.
This new box set will arrive a few days after the 50th anniversary of its release in the UK (namely March 16, 1973) on March 24. In it there will be a remaster version of the album from its original release.
This re-issuance will feature a CD and vinyl gatefold, plus Blu-Ray and DVD audio featuring an original 5.1 mix and a stereo remaster version.
In addition, this box set will also include other Blu-Ray disks from the Atmos plus CD and LP mixtures from The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974.
Live footage will also be released independently in CD and vinyl on the same day as the box set, marking the first time it will be available as an independent album.
A book titled Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon: 50th Anniversary will also come on March 24. Curated by photographer Jill Furmanovsky, the book will feature rare previously unpublished photos taken during the tour of The Dark Side of the Moon between 1972 and 1975.
