JAKARTA - Swedish/American metal troop In Flames released an official music video for their new single, Meet Your Maker.

The song was taken from In Flames' fourteen studio album, Foregone, which will be released on February 10 via Nuclear Blast.

Like the courage exposed, the song talks about the despair and frustration caused by the chaos of the post-pandemic dystopia.

"When we started writing for the album Foregone, Meet Your Maker became a song that arranged the tone in terms of what we were aiming for sonic and also thematic. You'll see this is everything that In Flames had hoped for. Have a good time and see you on tour 2023!" In Flames vocalist Anders Fridren said.

Foregone himself features artwork (artwork) designed by Blake Armstrong.

When this full album was first announced last September, Fridern stated they wanted to make guitar-driven recordings, and have a solid foundation between bass and drums.

"The approach to writing our songs is still the same, as we've always done, as an adjustment between melody and aggression. That's our music DNA. From the end of the lyrics, there is no shortage of inspiration to take, especially the concept of time," explained Friden.

"Humans as a whole are forced to slow down and take a breath. In that pause, we spend time evaluating and re-prioritizing. Time is constant, but what we do with it and how we look at it varies. Especially now seeing where the direction of the world seems faster than ever before," he continued.

Fridren concludes that he doesn't seem to believe In Flames still exists and will release their fourteenth album.

"I feel that we have found a good balance between the past, the present, and the future with Foregone. This is a new era of In Flames!" he concluded.
