JAKARTA - Ferry Irawan has just undergone an examination at the East Java Police Headquarters, Surabaya after being named a suspect on suspicion of Domestic Violence (KDRT). He denied that he had committed domestic violence against his wife, Venna Melinda.

The two sons of Venna Melinda, Verrell Bramasta and Athalla Naufal responded to a rebuttal statement issued by Ferry Irawan. Athalla, Venna's second son, responded casually to Ferry's statement trying to deny almost all Venna Melinda's confession. Verrell's younger brother feels that there are two versions of the story.

"Every story has two sides. Maybe he created his side and it was finished, but yes, there is evidence, and we give trust to the police," said Athalla Naufal when met in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta on Monday, January 16.

His older brother Verrell also agreed with Athalla's words. He personally believed what his mother told him, and handed over the difference in the story version to the investigator in charge.

"Yes, I also agree (with Athalla). We will hand it over to the police and investigators," said Verrell.

Ferry himself denied at least 3 points from Venna Melinda's confession to the public. He denied that he had committed violence like what had been reported so far.

"At that time, I intended to calm my hysterical wife," said Ferry.

He also explained that Venna Melinda's injuries were caused by Venna herself who was hysterical at that time. "He wanted to hurt himself. I lifted him to the bed, he stuck his face at me," he said.

Lebih dari itu, Ferry juga membantah dengan keras pengakuan Venna yang menyebutnya tidak pernah memberikan hidup dalam 3 bulan terakhir. Ia mengaku sebanyak mungkin memberikan usaha untuk sang istri, bahkan ia menyerahkan seluruh penghasilannya untuk ditransferkan ke rekening Venna.
