Pranked When Filming Children Of Devils, Gisel Is Instead Billing Main Horror Films

Gisella Anastasia or Gisel was lined up to be the main character in the film Anak Titipan Setan, directed by Erwin Arnada. In this first horror film, Gisel plays the role of Putri. Although he admits that he still needs to learn a lot to act, Gisel is helped by the similarities between himself and the characters he plays.

"In this child of Satan, Putri is indeed a mother too, that makes it not too difficult for me to accompany her feelings, mood, fear and concern like what, and then have children who are also the same age as Gempi," said Gisel in a press conference in the Senayan area, South Jakarta a few days ago.

Gisel, who has previously acted in drama genre films, feels that the horror genre offers something different. During the shooting process, Gisel told how he was being pranked by director Erwin Arnada.

"I got pranked. Pantesn was scripted without my words, it turned out that all the scenes were feared," said Gisel.

The director admitted that he deliberately made an unwritten scene in the script. He wanted to see Gisel's response come out naturally.

The last time I saw you so many times. Gisel bamyak got a surprise. Gisel's scene was feared, Gisel didn't know he was going in to see ghosts. I want to know his fear," said Erwin.

The scene is so easy because it's his own fear. The screen is long, and it's not in the script, the important thing is that I maintain the tension of fear (Gisel)," he continued.

Even so, Gisel admitted that he did not give up on acting in horror films. Instead, he hopes to get another chance in the future. "I don't give up (acting in horror films). This is the first experience of playing horror, getting knowledge and being really exciting," he concluded.

The idea of a story from the Child of the Devils itself is based on a journalistic report that Erwin Arnada made against the panleh series ritual in 1994.

This film tells the story of Putri (Gisella Anastasia) who has to return to her village from Australia because her family in Meloyo Kidul village, Surakarta is having a big problem. Eyang Susana (Ingrid Widjanarko), the mother of Putri forced Putri to go home with her son, who is believed to be a solution to the problems she faces.

The problem that threatened the whole family's safety began when Eyang Susana took part in the ritual of pesugihan and tied the agreement with the comer's devil. How Putri reveals the mystery of the family and completes the agreement with the owner of the story became the main idea of this film.

The son of Titipan Setan, starring Gisella Anstasia, Inggrid Widjanarko, Annisa Hertami, Gabriel Alon Bivolaru, Nano Asmorodono, Soeyik and many other actors, has premiered in theaters since January 12.
