JAKARTA - Rock guitarist Orianthi confirmed to Eric Dahl from FOX17 Rock & Review, that his latest studio album has entered its final stage.

"We started this album some time ago," Orianthi said.

"I've been going back and forth just finishing the mixing and adding songs to it. There's also a lot of collaboration in this new album, [which] is very interesting. [There are] some really cool guests in it."

Regarding the direction of music, Orianthi leaked that this new album is more blues rock.

As for the possible release date, Orianthi has not disclosed in detail. However, it is certain that the album will be present this year.

"This album will definitely come out this year. I'm mostly in the studio right now working on some of the songs I'm going to add and then mixing them. I'm very happy with that one."

Meanwhile, Orianthi's latest studio album, Rock Candy, comes in October via Frontiers Music Srl. LP follows O which was released in 2020.

Sonically, Rock Candy is described in a press release as a "hard-rockin display", blues nuance, from its stunning Orianthi guitar playing and feeling vocals."

Joining Orianthi on the Rock Candy album is a multitalented musician, Jacob Bunton. Apart from being the album's producer, he also plays guitar, bass, keyboard, piano and violin. Drummer Kylekuningham completes the recording lineup for Rock Candy.
