JAKARTA - Director Yeon Sang Ho presents his latest film entitled JUNG_E. This sci-fi genre film tells the story of a legendary soldier who is a project to clone a laboratory that is the beginning of the conflict.

The first trailer released today, Thursday, January 5 features the main character Yun Jung Yi (Kim Hyun Joo), a legendary soldier for continuing to win civil war in space. But one mission injured him until he fell into a coma.

Yun Seo Hyun (Kang Soo Youn) plans to clone the brain for a combat robot with artificial intelligence called JUNG_E. Then Jung Yi's brain is cloned in the Kronoid Laboratory which makes the cloning successful.

Conflict doesn't just stop there. Kim Sang Hoon (Ryu Kyng Soo) who was ambitious with the cloning experiment without realizing the dangers felt by Yun Jung Yi.

Then Jung Yi wakes up and sees the robot JUNG_E with a face similar to it. His body condition also turns into a robot where he can't feel anything.

The trailer JUNG_E makes the sci-fi genre in South Korea even more visible to the world. Previously, Netflix presented the film Space Sweepers in 2021.

The film JUNG_E is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who is known through the popular series Hellbound and the film Train to Busan which is considered to bring a new style to the Korean zombie genre. "Through the theme of artificial intelligence, I want to create a science fiction genre that combines extraordinary visual aesthetics and a topic that is close to everyone's heart," Yeon Sang Ho said of JUNG_E. The film JUNG_E will be released on Netflix starting January 20.
