YOGYAKARTA - The government together with Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) continue to carry out a number of preparations in supporting the smoothness and convenience of the Lebaran 2019 homecoming flow. So what is the difference between rest areas of type a, b, and c?

One of the efforts carried out is to prepare a service for the availability of rest areas or commonly known as rest areas on toll roads which are spots for stopping travelers to release fatigue on trips.

The presence of this rest area is divided into 3 types, namely rest areas type A, B, and C which each have support facilities that are ready to be used. The Ministry of PUPR through BPJT together with BUJT provides 75 rest areas on the Trans Java toll road which are spread across each stop spot from Merak to Surabaya divided into 32 rest areas type A, 22 rest areas type B, and 21 rest areas type C.

Then, the type C rest area that is used on the Trans Sumatra toll road, namely on the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar section there are 6 rest areas, the Terbanggi Besar - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung section has 6 rest areas, and on the Medan - Kualanamu - Tebing Tinggi toll road there are 2 rest areas.

For type B rest areas complete with public facilities, namely automated teller machine centers with toll card refill facilities, toilets, stalls or kiosks, minimarkets, prayer rooms, restaurants, green open spaces, and parking facilities.

Then in the Type C rest area, public facilities include toilets, stalls or kiosks, prayer rooms, and temporary parking facilities. For type C rest areas, it is only operated during long holidays, Eid/natal holidays, and new years.

In each rest area type A, B, and C there are also outlets of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that provide local special foods to handicrafts and souvenirs.

Then, regarding the availability of fuel (BBM) of the Ministry of PUPR together with BUJT, they also collaborated with Pertamina in providing vehicle refueling services at each rest area type A, B, and C at the main gas stations and gas stations in Mobile from 27 May to 10 June 2019. The available fuel will later serve travelers to avoid difficulties when refueling in the rest area. Mobile gas station outlets are divided into several points and can be found every 20-40 km of toll roads.
