The drama will show an unusual duo actor collaboration in the process of solving criminal cases related to rare brain disease. Lee said "Brain Works" tries to unravel the serious murder mystery in an entertaining way.

"Because viewers feel overwhelmed with professional details involving brain science, I think of ways to present difficult subjects in an entertaining way," said director Lee Jin-seo and Ku Seong-ju, quoted from Yonhap, Tuesday, January 3.

Previously, Cha had acted as a detective at Off-Duty Investigation (2020) and Police University (2021), but according to him, the latest drama this time has an interesting story so he is interested in joining.
