Exclusive Sarah Azhari: Closed Year Productively In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Long time no public appearance, Sarah Azhari was seen on a number of television shows. In early December, he was a guest on a number of shows and talked about the times when he was in Indonesia.

It's no secret that Sarah Azhari now lives in the United States. Different from other Azhari family members, Sarah chose to step down from the entertainment world that catapulted her name. But lately, she slowly began to return to her career productively releasing some content.

"Alhamdulillah, it's fine. Offers to be a guest star and so on so miss the same things in the past because I've been in the entertainment world. Because I was invited, there was a comedy so it reminds me of the same thing before," Sarah Azhari told VOI some time ago.

Returning to Indonesia is not without reason. He did plan his return considering that some members of Azhari's family still live in the capital. In addition, he also admitted that he missed Indonesia and all the changes that took him by surprise.

"The plan is to come back because there are many things, all kinds of business, houses and so on, so there are things that are taken care of and yes, now we can just come back. Yesterday it was not clear that someone opened and closed but at the end of the year it was good, relieved, it was easier to travel, so why not we go home now, "he explained.

"The construction in Jakarta is getting more and more and more and happy with the many green trees and fast development," he said.

"Frankly, sometimes I don't know which road I'm on because the benchmark I like to see is already closed by the bridge," continued Sarah.

Slowly, Sarah Azhari began to pursue a career as a singer. Actually, in 1999, Sarah had released an album titled Memorang Aku Berhitanya Aku produced by Anang Hermansyah. This album had reaped success in the market when it was released at that time.

Now, Sarah is back in the world of music in an independent way. In a new way, Sarah Azhari learns to compose songs to do promotions. He also felt the difference in music in the past with the present.

It's very different. Everything has shifted towards streaming and it's very different. The promo method is different, the contract is different. And now there's no need for an album. In the past, the album contained 8-10 songs. If you release a single one by one, you can," explained the woman who was born on June 16.

In the past, we sold physical tapes/cds that needed some songs. People also thought 'Yes, why buy an album like this'. So it's clear that it's different nowadays, it's really fast,' he continued.

Seeing this drastic change, Sarah Azhari feels that she is struggling even though her work is widespread, she also has to think about how her work has reached the ears of many people.

"We'll see what the best way is because now the phenomenon of young people seeing this streaming is fast, so it's just a matter of being accompanied by whether you like it or not. But this is changing quickly because there are hundreds of music coming in," he said.

I personally think it's a bit difficult compared to the past. Easy but difficult. It's easy for the platform, but for the promo really needs to focus because we don't compete with one more but hundreds of songs there," explained Sarah again.

Luckily, Sarah Azhari has a supportive circle of friendship and family. His new move is also supported by fans who are constantly looking forward to his new work. This is evident with his first independent single, Dance for Survive has been watched by more than three million in 2021. For a first release, this figure is large.

Then Sarah began actively releasing cover songs, most recently there was Last Christmas which was uploaded via social media.

"Alhamdulillah, I have fans who are loyal to me. So YouTube or whatever, there must be some fans who support it. There are subscribers, although not many people but walking because maybe they know me from a long time ago," said the mother of one child.

"Positive there but for promo issues, you have to be smart because my team is young here. They understand the problem better. So those who act for promos and others," he continued.

As a result, this 45-year-old woman learned to listen to suggestions from young people about her work. She also listens to suggestions from her son, Albany. The child often provides input on the content created by Sarah Azhari both in videos and on social media.

"I listen to what they give and they run. Because we have to give opportunities to young people today. After all, young people are now faster so that's how it is," said Sarah.

"That's right, but don't forget the experienced people who are not young. And they are adults and they understand the world. Because without them we can't go on a certain path. I think both need to be balanced," added Sarah Azhari.

Not only music, Sarah Azhari was previously known by starring in various film titles and soap operas. One of the most famous is the Beautiful Montir-Montir and Millenial Lupus which was popular in early 2003.

Even so, Sarah Azhari admitted that she was not interested in taking any acting projects. This is related to her still living in the United States. He himself leaked that he often accepted offers of acting, but often it was not realized.

"For the time being, earlier this year was impossible because there was something I was working on in America," said Sarah Azhari.

"I'm not interested yet. I want to focus on completing what I plan to do in Los Angeles. Here are mostly (articles) stripping but not yet," he continued.

With all her busy schedules, Sarah Azhari wants to remain a creative person compared to being a mediator. But this sentence can not only be done through speech but must be realized.

"I want to stay creative, let it flow. Because without being creative, what are we going to do? So you have to keep the spirit of creating creativity," said Sarah Azhari, closing the conversation with VOI.
