JAKARTA - Baim Wong expressed his relief after successfully reaching a peace agreement with one of the domestic violence video reporters uploaded on his YouTube channel. Through his Instagram account, Baim shared a photo of himself together with several reporters after making peace.

"Alhamdulillah, everything has been finished. We have agreed to make peace. The mediation brokered by Mr. Witjaksono went smoothly. Thank you for opening the door for me sorry. Thank you also to the police institution that has been tolerant to be able to forgive me. This is a valuable lesson for me," wrote Baim Wong in his Instagram upload on Monday, December 26.

Baim is known to have agreed to make peace with Alfian Hasibuan who reported it for the violation of the ITE Law, which is expected to be withdrawn later.

Although Baim stated that everything had been completed, in fact Paula Verhoeven's husband still had to face two other reports with alleged violations of Article 220 of the Criminal Code regarding false reports.

Machi Achmad, Baim Wong's attorney also responded to his client's statement when asked by the media crew. "Yes, that's okay. It may be an expression from my client that one of the reports has been completed, there has been a peace meeting point. We also see that there are reporters, we will review the legal elements later, which ones are not included, we are trying to make peace. But yes, I am optimistic that as a legal representative we can resolve all of them," said Machi Achmad when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Even so, the attorney admitted that he had not seen the upload, and felt that the statement "all has been completed" from his client was just a matter of language and not to be exaggerated.

"Maybe his expression. It means that everything is finished, it can be interpreted for this report (Article 36 of the ITE Law). But the reality is that there are still some reports. It's just a matter of language. I don't think it's exaggerated too," he concluded.
