JAKARTA - After six years, Ernest Prakasa and Starvision Plus continued Check Shop Next door with the sequel. With a long time, Ernest and Chand Parwez are committed to presenting a year-end film with full meaning.

"I started making films with Ernest since 2015 and we are committed to making entertaining shows. This is the peak of commitment. For me this is a film where we can celebrate it," said Chand Parwez as the producer at a press conference Check Shop Next to 2 today, Monday, December 19.

The decision to continue the Koh Afuk story is not an easy matter. The reason is that there have been many changes in six years. In addition, Ernest Prakasa and his collaborator Meira Anastasia also expect something better than this sequel.

"As creators, we are always haunted. If we make a sequel, we will definitely compare it. But we can only make it when we have stories with strong burdens and scenarios. Why only now? We have personal concerns with the world Check Shop Next door (CTS)," said Ernest Prakasa.

"This film is quite feminimous, so there are many perspectives from women, when compared to the first film, it's a little bit. The collaboration this time is more balanced, I used to give in more," said Meira Anastasia.

The players also felt a more complicated and mature conflict: Adinia Wirasti, Dion Wiyoko, and Laura Basuki who first joined this production.

The story is matured and rich, so I just need to focus on what the characters are. When the issue is deep and we are players who believe, yes it already exists alone. I am grateful that Ernest and Meira are disciplined and give space so they can quite trust the script," said Adinia Wirasti.

"I was made easier with a good script, so I reduced my burden as that player," said Laura Basuki.

Chand Parwez as the producer hopes that Cek Toko Next to 2 will become a work that the audience loves like the first film. It's not about the audience, but the stories presented can be felt by the public and will continue to be relevant.

"We are trying to give what this work is. I am sure that Ernest I feel the same way. The film we agree on but the existing potential should exceed his predecessor," said Chand Parwez.

Check Shop Next to 2 continuing the story of Koh Afuk's children (Chew Kin Wah). Erwin (Ernest Prakasa) plans to marry Natalie (Laura Basuki) on the other hand, Yohan (Dion Wiyoko) and Ayu (Adonia Wirasti) are demanding to have children.

The film Check Shop Next to 2 will hit Indonesian cinemas starting December 22.
