Resolution 2023 Kunto Aji: Continue Postponed Tours, Release Of New Albums And Vinyl

JAKARTA - Kunto Aji revealed several plans for his music project in 2023. After encountering many obstacles due to uncertain conditions in 2022 which are still struggling with the pandemic, the singer from Jogja hopes that his delayed plans can be carried out in the future.

The singer who was born on January 4, 1987, hopes that the planned tour that has been postponed this year can be implemented soon. "There are several plans that I should have toured this year but it turns out that it has to be postponed next year. God willing, bismillah, we can prepare for the tour. Just pray for it. The album will also be next year," said Kunto Aji when met by media crews in Gambir area, Thursday, December 15.

Kunto himself realizes that uncertain conditions currently make many musicians including himself more careful when deciding to hold concerts. "Actually, it's all wrong, friends themselves also know that the conditions are going up and down, yes, whether it's a case of covid or licensing for crowds and all kinds of things. We musicians must support the government so that we can overcome the spread of the covid virus and we were rich yesterday in the tragedy of Kanjuruhan. We don't want that great enthusiasm to actually make a disaster," he said.

For the tour plan, Kunto has not been able to provide more detailed information because of his experience this year, but he ensures there are at least 5 areas visited. Kunto said that the government's decision regarding music concerts and business interests must be balanced. He did not want the concerts that were made to be not optimal and led to the disappointment of the audience present.

As for the album launch plan, Kunto Aji is preparing 9 songs that will be included in the 3rd album. Through his new album later, Kunto wants something lighter than the 2nd Mantra album released in 2018. "Still in the process of writing (songs). During the pandemic because at home, there are still some that have been written," he said.

"I want the material to be more relaxed, because the Mantra Mntra album is quite heavy, so I just want to relax," he continued.

In addition to tours and concerts, Kunto also plans to re-made vinyl (black clips), after previously being successful. I just released vinyl and it didn't take long to sell out. It turns out that the music connoisseur still wants to buy physical form, even though vinyl is also not cheap," said Kunto.

But unfortunately the plan to make vinyl seems to have to wait a long time, because there are other singers who have already ordered the vinyl production house. "I want another production (Vinyl), but it turns out that I have to queue for up to a year because the good production has been in the book with Adele all of them," he concluded.
