Scandal 2 Series Presents Different, Even More Stretized, And Suspensive Feelings

JAKARTA - After previously successfully presenting Scandal in 2021, now Vidio is back by presenting Scandal 2 which premiered Thursday, December 5. Broadly speaking, this series still talks about prostitution but in a different style.

Ibnu Jamil, who became the main character of the two seasons, explained the differences that would be displayed. He believes Scandal 2 will provide a more attractive sensation for the audience.

The story is definitely different, the style of business is also different. So for those who already understand Scandal 1 please feel the sensation of watching Skanda 2, with a more complex plot twist and problem, even more tense and even sexier," said Ibnu Jamil when met by media crews in the Kebayoran area, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 15.

The actors who will play in Scandal 2 are also different. Practically only Prince's character, played by Ibnu Jamil, was brought back from the previous season. Directed by Robby Ertanto, this series also stars a number of top Indonesian actors, including Cinta Laura, Rangga Nattra, Hans De Kraker, Sheila Marcia, Karenina Anderson and Ibnu Jamil.

Before officially airing on the Vidio platform, Scandal 2 previously became official selection at the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) 2022 earlier this December. This proves that Scandal 2 has its own quality, considering that JAFF is a very selective film festival and many films and series are registered to air.

The story in Scandal 2 follows the journey of Luna (Cinta Laura), a young dancer who has revenge intentions and wants to destroy Oliver's (Hans De Kraker) covert prostitution business, the man who owns the Royal Club. To carry out her mission, Luna went undercover and became a prostitutionperson to trick Prince (Ibnu Jamil), a pimp from the club.

But not as easy as he imagined, Luna had to face Netra (Karenina Anderson), a senior prostitution officer who considered him a rival, Prince who secretly suspected her, and Angga (Rangga Nattra), Oliver's future son-in-law who was prepared to continue his prostitution business. Without planning, Luna fell in love with Angga, until finally ignited the fire of jealousy from her fianc, Naomi (Maya Subba), who is Oliver's biological child.

Cinta Laura as the main actor stated that Scandal 2 has a strong message to convey to the audience. From Scandal 2, there are so many things I can learn. That life is not just black and white that is seen, because there are so many things that are covered by the glamorous life of the night world. From this series I hope the audience can realize that not everyone has the opportunity to do what they want, some of us still have to do things that are beyond their will," said Cinta Laura.
