JAKARTA - Streaming service Hulu will adapt the sex videos of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee from Motley Crue into a television series.

The limited series titled Pam & Tommy will focus on the romance that the two of them experienced until they got married in 1995.

The love story of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee became a mass talk in the 90s. They decided to get married after being acquainted for 96 hours. Even more excited was when their sex videos were stolen and distributed until they finally officially came out on the market.

The scattered video footage was brought under legal action where Anderson sued distribution company Internet Entertainment Group and Lee. They opted for a secret settlement and the couple divorced in 1998. But the company made exclusive recordings available to customers which tripled the number of visitors.

The three main players for Pam & Tommy have been announced. Sebastian Stan will play Tommy Lee, Lily James as Pamela Anderson, and Seth Rogen as the man who steals the video footage.

The series is produced by Seth Rogen with Evan Goldberg, Dave Franco, Sue Naegle, and Megan Ellison. Craig Gillespie was appointed director of Pam & Tommy where he is known for his work through I, Tonya.

Launching Deadline on the same day, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee were not involved in making the Pam & Tommy series.

Pam & Tommy is Lily James' newest project after starring in the films Rebecca and The Dig. This project became Stan's second project with Gillespie after Stan played the film I, Tonya. Hulu announced that the Pam & Tommy series will have eight episodes and will air starting in spring 2021.
