JAKARTA - Ayu Thalia is again undergoing a follow-up trial in the alleged defamation case reported by Nicholas Sean, the son of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok at the North Jakarta District Court (PN) on Thursday, December 1. During the trial, Ayu read out the plea or defense of the demands of 7 months in prison from the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

Even though he stated that he did not accept the judge's demands, Ayu stated that he would continue to follow the existing legal procedures, while hoping for the best.

"Yes, please just pray for the decision of the panel of judges later. Hopefully the judge can open his door so he doesn't punish me, so that I can be fair as fairly as possible," said Ayu Thalia after the trial at the North Jakarta District Court, Thursday, December 1.

In his pledoi, the celebgram stated that the trial he was undergoing made his good name damaged. "Yes, as I already know you. Many during this trial process, many tarnished my good name as a woman," he admitted.

Ayu's attorney, Pitra Romadoni, believes that his own status as a defendant has tarnished the good name of his client. Furthermore, he even asked the public to support Ayu.

"With his status as a defendant, his name has been destroyed. The defendant's words mean this is as if he was a criminal, even though this is still being tested or debated in the courtroom. Therefore, I think his good name has been destroyed now. Because his status already holds the status of a defendant," said Pitra.

"We really hope, pray, and ask for support from the community so that the community can give their support to Ayu Thalia, especially since she is a woman where women are very vulnerable and fragile. I think God will give the best for Ayu Thalia. And I think the panel of judges will give the best decision," he continued.

Even though she admits that she has received a lot of blasphemy, Ayu is still grateful that her closest people still support her. "The surrounding environment supports yes, helping to pray that unwanted things don't happen. No (there is blasphemy) if the environment is around, there is none,

Regarding his relationship with Nicholas Sean, Ayu stated that his meeting with Ahok's eldest son was a disaster. He also hopes that there will be reward one day. "I don't want to (meet Sean) anymore. There's no need to (retaliate), let God repay it, let God know too," he concluded.
