JAKARTA - Seasoned actor Slamet Rahardjo made history again after he won again at the 2022 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) in the Best Supporting Actor category.

The man with the full name Slamet Rahardjo Djarot won his 7th career at FFI through his acting in the film First, Second & Third Love'. He managed to excel from the other four nominations, Arswendy Bening Swara (Autobiography), Reza Rahadian (Like Dendam, Rindu Must Be Paid Completely), El Gibran Ellih (Srimulat: Hil Yang Mustahal - Babak Pertama) and Rukman Rosadi (Inang).

Having a career of more than 50 years in the world of film, Slamet Rahardjo has won the Citra Cup in other categories, both as an actor and director, including Best Male Lead (1975, 1983), Best Music Arranger (1979), Best Director (1985, 1987) and Life Prize (2014).

Speaking with the media crew after receiving the Citra Cup, Slamet Rahardjo gave a message to young actors and actresses.

There are so many talented actors and actresses now. I just leave it, love you if you have determined it is your profession. Don't pawn your profession, don't think about becoming someone else. Because our job as players actually surrenders ourselves completely to the characters we run. No need to be someone else, because our job has always been someone else," said Slamet Rahardjo.

"And remember, note my message spread so that young friends hear. Be yourself, because basically we were born original," he continued.

Furthermore, Slamet gave an example where an actor is an original human whose role cannot be replaced by others.
