Synopsis Of Qorin Film, Jin Who Accompanied Humans From Born To Death

JAKARTA - Film Qorin released the official trailer on Tuesday, November 8. The second horror film IDN Pictures was directed by Ginanti Roana who started her career as Assistant Director Timo Tjahjanto and was once Assistant Director of a number of well-known Indonesian films such as Rumah Dara and The Raid.

"This time we are telling about Qorin who is a jinn, God's creatures who accompanied humans from the beginning of humans being born until the human being died who had an assignment," said Head of IDN Pictures & Film Producer Qorin Susanti Dewi quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, November 9.

Susanti explained that Qorin has the main task of inviting humans to do negative things. "Imagine what the film will look like," said Susanti.

On the same occasion, IDN Media CEO Winston Utomo expressed his enthusiasm for this latest work by IDN Pictures. After the success of the film Inang, Winston wants to win more interest from the Indonesian people through horror films.

"In Indonesia, horror films are so popular with the public because they are a film genre that can be watched by various groups and trigger adrenaline as well as provide entertainment," said Winston.

He added that horror films can also become Indonesia's strength to introduce culture and bring the work of the nation's children to the international stage.

"Of course we remain committed to presenting films that are full of moral messages and can have a positive impact on Indonesian society. With the background and character close to the Indonesian people, the film Qorin is not only entertaining but also conveys important life lessons. We hope that the film Qorin gets a warm welcome from the Indonesian people," said Winston.

Qorin tells the story of a student in the girls' dormitory, Zahra Qurotun Aini. Having lived in the women's special dormitory for almost 6 years, Zahra has always been a role model student who has a myriad of achievements at school.

Zahra became ambitious and willing to obey whatever her teacher orders Ustad Jaelani, in order to get high grades, including receiving the task of taking care of a new student who is known to be naughty named Yolanda and inviting students to perform qorin rituals.

Zahra did not expect that after carrying out these two tasks, she began to get terrorized and often experienced mystical things in the girls' dormitory. Zahra did not only experience irregularities because Umi Hana, Ustad Jaelani's wife, also found strangeness in the signs and objects stored by her husband.

Qorin also stars Omar Daniel, Zulfa Maharani, Aghniny Haque, Naimma Aljufri, Cindy Nirmala, Putri Ayudya, and Mahardika Yusuf. Qorin is scheduled to hit theaters on December 1, 2022.
